I have been teaching piano to children and adults for over 30 years.  I have a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and am a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) with the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA.)  In my professional activities over the years I have been active in the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC), the National Guild of Piano Teachers (NGPT), and Music Teachers National Association on both the state and local levels in both Nebraska and Colorado.  I have served on the State Board of the Colorado State Music Teachers Association (CSMTA) where I served as Theory Chair and helped develop a state theory program.  I am an active adjudicator for piano festivals and auditions in Nebraska, Colorado, and the upper Midwest.  I am past president of the Estes Park Area Music Teachers Association (EPAMTA), and am currently an active member of the Boulder Area Music Teachers Association (BAMTA.)

Sharing my Passion

Sharing the joy of music with others is my passion.  Music is fun, and I believe learning to make music should be a positive and pleasurable experience.  I endeavor to help my students enjoy the process of learning, giving attention to each student's individual learning style, strengths, and interests.  I wish all of my students a lifetime of joy as they learn to appreciate and make good music, and to express themselves freely through it.  My goal is to equip them with the skills and musical independence necessary to allow them to pursue a life-long experience of making "joyful noises!"
